Step 1: Cable Tracing

Before we start, we inspect the equipment and verify its details against the move list. We complete a detailed cable trace to ensure we capture all details to ensure nothing is missed.

Step 2: Shutdown

We ensure that the equipment is properly shutdown before commencing any disconnection or un-racking.

Step 3: Disconnection & Un-racking

Once the equipment has been shutdown, we commence disconnecting the equipment carefully, then un-racking the equipment from the cabinet.

Step 4: Moving & Transportation

Once the equipment has been un-racked, we carefully pack the equipment, and put it onto a trolley for transportation. The trolley is wheeled onto a truck and secured to ensure it does not move.

Step 5: Racking & Reconnection

At the new location, we begin by carefully racking the equipment into the rack. Once installed and secured, we begin reconnecting or patching the equipment.

Step 6: QA & Testing

Once all the equipment has been installed, we can power on the equipment and perform some tests to ensure the equipment is properly configured and ready to use.

Yes. The majority of moves typically happen on Friday evenings and Saturdays. There are no additional charges for moves during these hours. However, we do have a surcharge for requests on Sundays and public holidays, as well as overnight hours (00:00 - 08:00).

While we recommend a a minimum lead time of 2 weeks for planning and scheduling, we understand that urgent relocations happen — and we’re equipped to mobilise quickly when needed. Just contact us if you have an urgent request.

Yes. We have public liability and professional indemnity insurance policies. For transit insurance (between buildings), a separate policy can be taken out if requested (an additional charge is required). Please contact us in regards to this if required.

Yes. We regularly perform relocations to and from co-location providers across Hong Kong. Our team is familiar with access protocols, security clearances, loading bay requirements, and rack handling in data centre environments.
